Institutional Coordinator

The Institutional Coordinator holds an executive role as Head of the CBMSC School of Government, being responsible for managing financial resources, editorial trends, and the journal’s development strategies. Additionally, they serve as an evaluator of the editorial objectives and assist in making strategic decisions regarding the future of the journal.

 

Editor-in-Chief

The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the political and institutional positioning of the journal, coordinating all editorial operations and ensuring the quality of the publication. They oversee the submission and publication workflow, ensuring alignment with the scientific and editorial objectives of Ignis Journal.

 

Editorial Committee

Comprised of CBMSC military personnel with master's and doctoral degrees, as well as national and international university professors with doctorates, the Editorial Committee plays a fundamental role in the journal's administrative and editorial management. Its main responsibilities include ensuring the quality of published content, assisting in the formulation of editorial guidelines, evaluating the relevance of submitted articles, resolving editorial conflicts, and selecting qualified reviewers. Additionally, committee members assist in the organization of texts and the development of journal issues as requested by the Editor-in-Chief.

 

Editorial Board

The Editorial Board consists of professors from national and international universities with doctoral degrees, as well as military personnel from other forces with master's and doctoral degrees. This group of experts ensures the scientific and academic quality of the journal. Their responsibilities include conducting initial article reviews (desk review), selecting reviewers, and addressing issues related to publication ethics policies. The multinational and multi-institutional composition of the board strengthens the credibility and international reach of Ignis Journal.

 

Reviewers

The reviewers include university professors, CBMSC military personnel, military professionals from other forces, national and international university professors, independent researchers, and technical experts with master's or doctoral degrees. They are responsible for double-blind peer review, evaluating articles based on criteria such as relevance to the journal, methodological rigor, theoretical framework, and textual clarity. Reviewers provide feedback to authors, recommending adjustments, suggesting improvements, approving, or rejecting manuscripts. Their evaluations serve as the basis for the Editor-in-Chief's final decision on article publication.

 

Technical Editing and Layout Team

The technical team consists of librarians, language reviewers, and graphic designers, responsible for refining and standardizing the texts. Their functions include editing and formatting articles, plagiarism verification, managing the editorial workflow, standardizing references, indexing content, enhancing the journal's visual identity, and providing support to authors and users of Ignis.
