In accordance with the regulations of Law 13.709, from Brazil, known as the General Data Protection Law (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados - LGPD), Ignis Journal provides below the specific purpose of the data used and how it is collected.

The names, addresses, and general data provided through user registration and submission processes will be used exclusively for the services provided by this journal and by the Military Fire Department of Santa Catarina (CBMSC). This data will not be made available for other purposes or to third parties.

Among the purposes of data usage, the following can be mentioned:

• Communication between the interested parties (Ignis Journal and system users such as authors, reviewers, and registered readers), allowing, for example, users to receive the journal’s table of contents via email for each new edition or notifications related to the editorial workflow.
• Invitations and announcements related to publications, projects, research, and events from Ignis and CBMSC, all aligned with the organization’s priority themes.
• Scientific dissemination of published texts and presentation of author and co-author data as a demonstration of good publishing practices and ethics in scientific journals (Email - chosen by the author to be disclosed; name; ORCID; and institutional affiliation).

All submitted information is stored in the Open Journal System (OJS) and used within the editorial workflow, accessible only by the Editor and the journal’s technical team.
