Abstract

O presente artigo faz uma análise sobre o nível de preparação para resposta em eventos críticos e desastres do batalhão de operações aéreas do Corpo de Bombeiros Militar de Santa Catarina. O emprego nestas ocorrências do Corpo de Bombeiros e do Batalhão de Operações Aéreas, tem previsão constitucional, em decreto estadual e portarias. Além de uma análise bibliográfica para construção do conhecimento, foi aplicado um questionário aos militares da unidade aérea pública, visando identificar o tempo e experiências dos integrantes da tripulação e suas avaliações sobre o nível de preparação para respostas a desastres e eventos críticos. Observou-se que o Batalhão é composto por um grupo experiente e número equilibrado de Oficiais e Praças. Os integrantes se sentem preparados para respostas em eventos adversos, mas buscam o constante aprimoramento técnico profissional assim como a evolução das viaturas, aeronaves e equipamentos.
