Abstract

Os movimentos de massa são os principais processos de alterações do relevo, causados muitas vezes pelo processo de urbanização em virtude do crescimento populacional desenfreado. Este tipo de impacto tem influência direta nas áreas mais propícias a inundações e enchentes, na maioria das vezes, provocam consideráveis prejuízos socioeconômicos e até vítimas fatais. De acordo com a velocidade e composição do material deslocado, recebe diferentes conceitos, são desencadeados por uma série de fatores naturais, porém, podem ser potencializados pela ação humana. O artigo tem por objeto a análise em campo por meio de registros feitos em 2008 e registros atuais, as consequências de um movimento de massa na SC-401, em Florianópolis. A metodologia aplicada foi qualitativa, pesquisa de campo e entrevista. Os resultados obtidos mostram que, ações preventivas associadas ao monitoramento e fiscalização tornam-se grandes aliados para que eventos como este em estudo tenham menores danos humanos, ambientais e econômicos.
